Why your worst deeds don't define youIn the play 12 Angry Men, the 16 year-old boy from the slum is on trial for allegedly stabbing his father to death. If the boy is found guilty, the boy will receive the death sentence.
In the video by Shaka Senghor, he talked about how he killed a man and served his time. But he also said that he grew in the slums. He grew up in a tough environment without guidance and unfortunately made a series of bad decisions. He didn't use this as an excuse but made it clear that how he grew up was a cause of some of his decisions. Now in the beginning I said how in 12 Angry Men the 16 year old boy also grew up in the slums with some hardships. Now this is not a reason to stab his father to death but it played a factor in to it. His father use to beat him. he finally got tired of it and ultimately "ALLEGEDLY" killed his father. |
